Sum 41 takes over Los Angeles

This past week was an excellent one for Sum 41 fans residing in Los Angeles. The Canadian band performed three different free shows in the area followed by the filming of a music video which fans were invited to free of charge.

In intense promotion mode for their newest release, Screaming Bloody Murder, which came out March 29, the band performed two new songs that aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 31. The first song was the title track from the record and the second song was entitled “Skumf*k.” Following these two songs, they played a mini-concert for the fans on the outdoor stage, which featured three older songs that did not air on television.

The following night, the band performed a Myspace Secret Show at Boardner’s in Hollywood, California, where the capacity was only 150 people. The band played a full headlining set and fans received free commemorative posters at the end of the evening.

On April 2, the band played yet another secret show for free on a small stage inside the Guitar Center in Hollywood and on April 3, the band filmed performance scenes with fans for an upcoming music video from the new record.

Now, the band will be taking a brief break in touring before heading to Japan in May and touring Europe all throughout the summer.
