Fatal traffic collision occurs on Exposition

A fatal motorcycle accident occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. Tuesday on Exposition Boulevard near South Figueroa Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The LAPD and Los Angeles Fire Department are investigating the accident at the scene. The victim’s name is being withheld until notification of next-of-kin. Westbound Exposition Boulevard will be closed between Watt Way and South Figueroa Street as the investigation continues.
Update 1:54 p.m.: The scene of the accident was cleared and Exposition Boulevard has been reopened to normal traffic.
