Qahir Popat, a rising senior majoring in economics, studies for one of his summer classes in front of the Patsy and Forrest Shumway Fountain on Trousdale. The first session of summer classes began on May 22, with sessions lasting anywhere from four to eight to 12 weeks, allowing students to catch up on credits.
