The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Monday, Sept. 23, and Tuesday, Sept. 24. 

Crimes against persons

at 8:57 a.m. on Sept. 23, two Bovard Administration Building staff members reported that a non-USC affiliated man had been rude to them over the phone and in person while complaining about issues he has had with the school.

At 9:36 a.m. on Sept. 23, a staff member reported that a student she asked not to contact her continues to do so.

Miscellaneous incidents

at 9:01 a.m. on Sept. 23, a Bovard Administration Building staff member reported to DPS that a suspicious man carrying a duffel bag entered the building and asked to meet with the president of USC. After being advised that he needed to make an appointment for a meeting, the suspect left. DPS could not locate him.

at 9:07 a.m. on Sept. 23, a student cut his chin when he fell off of his scooter. DPS officers transported him to the Student Health Center for treatment.

 

at 11:33 a.m. on Sept. 23, a male who is not a USC student jumped off his bicycle at the Exposition Boulevard parking structure in order to avoid a collision with a vehicle. The bicycle rolled into the vehicle, causing damage.

at 12:00 P.M. on Sept. 23, a non-USC female was treated by EMTs at the Coliseum after a bottle was dropped on her head from the section above her. The woman believes that the incident is evidence of a larger safety issue and requested a report.

at 1:53 p.m. on Sept. 23, DPS officers transported a student who had cut her finger while slicing an avocado at University Gateway Apartments to the Student Health Center for treatment.

at 6:10 p.m. on Sept. 23, a man reported that someone had set a coffee cup with lighter fluid in it on fire on a kitchen table. DPS was unable to find a suspect.

at 8:48 p.m. on Sept. 23, DPS officers transported a student who had injured her finger playing basketball at the Lyon University Center to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment.

at 12:06. a.m. on Sept. 24, two students were caught smoking marijuana in a Pardee Tower dorm room and cited to Judicial Affairs for the offense.
