The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Wednesday, Oct. 23 and Thursday, Oct. 24. 

Crimes against property

at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 23, a suspect entered an unsecured study room at the Parkside Residential building and removed an unattended purse.

at 10:10 p.m. on Oct. 23, someone found an iPod was found at the Raubenheimer Music Faculty Memorial Building and returned it to DPS’ Lost and Found.

Miscellaneous incidents

at 11:36 a.m. on Oct. 23, DPS responded to a staff member at McCarthy Quad who complained of dizziness. An LAFD RA unit and Unit #15 responded and, after examining the staff member, transported him to California Hospital for medical treatment.

at 6:10 P.m. on Oct. 23, DPS officers were flagged down at Bloom Walk and Watt Way by a witness who reported a male, unidentified suspect that was behaving erratically and harrasing female passersby. The suspect was detained and LAPD officers who responded, transported him to a southwest station for psychiatric evaluation.

at 7:35 P.m. on Oct. 23, DPS responded to a group of students holding a march at the George Finley Bovard Administration Building. They monitored the students until they dispersed without incident.

at 5:37 a.m. on Oct. 24, DPS responded to a student at Founders Apartment who cut his thumb with a knife. The student was examined and then taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital for medical treatment.
