The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Saturday, Nov. 16, and Sunday, Nov. 17. 

Crimes against persons

at 2:03 A.m. on Nov. 16, DPS officers responded to a report of two students involved in an altercation at Pi Beta Phi and detained them for investigation. During questioning, one of the students admitted that he punched the other student in the eye, but the second student did not want criminal prosecution of the matter. Both subjects were subsequently released.

at 2:58 p.m. on Nov. 16, a staff member reported that she was involved in a confrontation with a former student outside the Physical Education building and the subject subsequently posted a threatening statement on her social media page.

Crimes against property

at 3:17 p.m. on Nov. 16, two non-USC males were struck by a branch that fell from a tree outside Bovard Auditorium. Both of the males sustained injuries, so a Los Angeles Fire Department RA unit was requested. RA Unit #24 responded and treated the males, then one of them was transported to California Hospital for additional medical treatment.

Miscellaneous incidents

at 3:00 a.m. on Nov. 16, DPS officers responded to an intoxicated student who was observed standing naked near Jefferson Boulevard and Royal Street. The student was incoherent when contacted by the officers, so a Los Angeles Fire Department RA unit was requested. RA Unit #14 responded and examined the student, then transported him to Kaiser Hospital for medical treatment.
