Roundup

The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Tuesday, Jan. 14 and Thursday, Jan. 16.

Miscellaneous incidents

At 8:05 a.m. on Jan. 14, a faculty member reported what she believed to be a suicide note written by a student in Parking Structure C. The student was contacted and claimed that the letter was written for his family in case something happened to him on his missionary trip. This was confirmed by a member of his missionary group.

At 9:35 a.m. on Jan. 14, four students were caught smoking marijuana in their dorm rooms in David X. Marks Tower and were cited to Judicial Affairs.

At 11:23 p.m. on Jan. 15, DPS officers responded to a student at Phi Kappa Psi who was intoxicated and deemed unfit to care for himself. A Los Angeles Fire Department RA unit was contacted, and RA Unit #15 responded and took the student to Good Samaritan Hospital to be treated.

Corrections

“Keck Discovers Cancer-Causing Agent” (Jan. 16) implies a new virus was found, which is false. The title should read “Keck Discovers Critical Factor of Viral Cancer.”

“University Praised for Latino Graduation Rates” (Jan. 16) referred to Gene Bickers as a “she” when the pronoun should be “he.”

“Progam Board hosts spring Variety Hour show” (Jan. 16) said the event took place on Tuesday when it took place on Wednesday.

“Progam Board hosts spring Variety Hour show” (Jan. 16) also quoted Daniel Clark when in fact his name is Andrew Clark.

The Daily Trojan regrets the errors.
