The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety crime/incident summary between Wednesday, Feb. 19 and Friday, Feb. 21.

Crimes against a person

 

At 11:17 a.M. on Feb. 20, a student was hit by a vehicle while on her bicycle at Figueroa Street and Jefferson Boulevard. The student injured her back and hit her head on the pavement and was taken to the Student Health Center. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident.

Crimes against property

At 10:07 A.M. on Feb. 19, six suspects stole a wooden sign from the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity rooftop.

At 10:44 P.M. on Feb. 20, a student backed a university vehicle into a garage access card reader at Founders Apartments, causing damage to both the vehicle and the card reader.

Miscellaneous incidents

At 4:29 P.M. on Feb. 18, a USC student’s vehicle was immobilized by Transportation Services for displaying an altered parking pass. The student was cited to Judicial Affairs after agreeing to pay all fees and fines.

At 7:31 A.M. on Feb. 19, two students were reported to DPS for posting threats on social media to bring weapons to Ground Zero Performance Café.

At 8:43 P.M. on Feb. 19, the Delta Chi fraternity was cited to Judicial Affairs for violating the university’s policies concerning parties and noise.

At 12:51 A.M. on Feb. 20, DPS removed a possibly intoxicated staff member from the Keck Hospital of USC.

At 1:55 P.M. on Feb. 20, a USC student at the Music Complex was cited to judicial affairs for yelling profanities at the DPS officer who removed his bicycle that was parked on a wheelchair access ramp.

At 6:02 P.M. on Feb. 20, a USC student at Trojan Plaza reported that he loaned money to a man claiming to be in financial distress in exchange for collateral of a suit and seven jackets.
