The following incidents were reported in the USC Department of Public Safety incident report summary between Monday, March 24, and Tuesday, March 25. 

Crimes against property

at 1:52 p.m. on March 25, a staff member reported that numerous sheets and towels had gone missing from the linen room of the Engemanm Student Health Center. The missing towels had allegedly been a problem for the past two weeks, but a bag with the missing items was discovered in a 5th floor stairwell.

Miscellaneous incidents

at 6:03 p.m. on March 24, DPS officers detained three suspects panhandling outside of the Von Kleinsmid Center. A check of their names revealed one of the suspects had an outstanding warrant. As a result, the suspect was arrested and she was transported to 77th Street Station for booking. The other suspects were released after being advised not to trespass again.

at 2:44 a.m. on March 25, DPS officers on patrol on Jefferson Boulevard and Budlong Avenue observed a juvenile loitering. He was cited for a curfew violation, and officers transported him to his place of residence and released him into the custody of his mother.

at 6:03 p.m. on March 25, a student reported a man walked up to her car when she was stopped at the bottom of the 10-Freeway and acted as though the student had hit him. The suspect subsequently photographed the student’s license plate and walked to the sidewalk. The student drove to a nearby gas station to call the police and when she returned to the scene the suspect was no longer there.
