The following incidents were reported in the USC Department of Public Safety incident report summary between Friday, April 4, and Sunday, April 6. 

Crimes against a person

At 10:44 P.M. on April 5, DPS officers responded to a report of an intoxicated student punching security guards, who were attempting to remove him from a concert on McCarthy Quad after several witnesses complained that he was misbehaving while in the crowd. The student remained combative and had to be physically subdued by the officers. The security guards did not want criminal prosecution on the matter and an Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance  unit subsequently transported the student to Kaiser Permanente for treatment for injuries he sustained during the incident.

Miscellaneous incidents

at 3:44 p.m. on April 4, DPS officers responded to a report of two non-USC males taunting opposing fans during a tennis match at the David Marks Tennis Stadium and detained them for investigation. Both subjects appeared to be intoxicated and during questioning they admitted that they had been drinking. The officers then escorted the subjects out of the stadium and released them without further incident.

at 2:08 A.m. on April 5, Expo Park police detained three students who were observed sitting inside an illegally parked vehicle near the Exposition Park Rose Garden and during questioning they admitted that they intended to draw their fraternity emblem in chalk on the sidewalk outside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The students were cited to Student Judicial Affairs and Community Standards by DPS officers who responded to the scene and were released.

at 7:16 p.m. on April 6, DPS officers responded to a student who sustained a loose tooth when he struck his mouth on a bar while doing pull ups at the Lyon Center. The officers examined the student and transported him to California Hospital for medical treatment.
