Cash Cash delivers memorable performance

The group consisting of brothers Jean Paul Makhlouf and Alex Makhlouf, along with Samuel Frisch, along with a slew of other names gaining ground in the EDM scene took over Avalon nightclub in Hollywood last Friday night.

Opener Sam Hiller along with duo Riggi and Piros set up the stage for what was to be an electrifying night. Hiller slowly brought the venue to life through his ever accelerating blend of dance and deep house. On the other end of the spectrum, Riggi and Piros brought a surprising energy driven Big Room, setting the bar high for the headliner to follow.

Cash Cash came on to thunderous applause, bringing everyone in the house to their feet and bouncing to their electronica infused adaptation of dance music. They played classics such as “Overtime,” along with their newest hit “Surrender” that has been making waves all over the dance scene. They also premiered remixes of songs such as Queen’s “We Will Rock You” to Capital Cities’ “Safe in Sound.” Cash Cash also displayed a startling variety in their choice of music. They explored genres as wide ranging as Jungle Trap to Moobahton, displaying their versatile producing talents in the best way possible.

Their two hour long set utilized Avalon’s lighting and sound systems to the maximum, with lasers and fog systems activated in tune to the catchy drops and smooth melodies that comprise their music. The bass reverberated with an intensity that was not too overwhelming yet forced everyone onto the huge dance floor. They debuted not one, but two unreleased tracks through the course of the night, giving the Avalon crowd something to go home and brag about.

Overall, Cash Cash played a stellar set to a packed club venue, displaying their skills at adept mixing and transitions, and created lasting memories for all those involved.
