USC Security Roundup


The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7. 

Crimes against a person

at 11:57 a.m.  on March 6, a student reported that her boyfriend would not give her the keys to her apartment at 1237 Adams Blvd. Neither of the subjects could be located when officers responded at the scene.

at 5:58 p.m.  on March 6, a juvenile reported that he was kicked and punched multiple times by four subjects that he had been playing soccer with at Brittingham Intramural Field.

at 6:36 p.m.  on March 6, a student reported that she was battered by her estranged husband outside the USC area, and he was later arrested.

Crimes against property

at 1:14 p.m. on March 6, a suspect removed a bicycle at H. Leslie Hoffman Hall of Business Administration.

at 3:43 p.m. on March 6, a suspect removed a bicycle at John Stauffer Science Lecture Hall.

at 5:16 p.m. on March 6, a suspect removed a bicycle at 34th Street and Trousdale Parkway.

at 7:22 p.m. on March 6, a vending machine display window was shattered through unknown means at Seaver Science Library.

at 11:19 p.m. on March 6,  a suspect removed a student’s vehicle at Regal Trojan Arms.

at 2:20 a.m. on March 7, a vehicle belonging to a male not affiliated with the university was damaged when it was struck by a bottle thrown from the Sigma Nu fraternity house.

Miscellaneous incidents

at 10:51 a.m. on March 6, a suspect who was reported to have been brandishing a handgun at the Physical Education Building was found in possession of a toy gun and was issued a University “stay away” letter.

at 1:50 p.m. on March 6, a female not affiliated with the university suffered an anxiety attack at Keck Hospital of USC and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

at 2:19 p.m. on March 6, a student was transported from Chez Ronnee to the Student Health Center for medical treatment after cutting his finger.

at 2:43 p.m. on March 6, a student was transported to the Student Health Center from Bridge Memorial Hall for medical treatment after suffering an adverse reaction to medication she had taken.

at 10:59 p.m. on March 6, unreported damage to the rear door of a university vehicle was discovered at Parking Structure A.

at 11:43 p.m. on March 6, a male and a female not affiliated with the university were involved in a verbal dispute at Town & Gown, and the male was subsequently transported to a local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

at 1:41 a.m. on March 7, an unidentified female was transported to a local hospital from Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity house following an alcohol overdose.

at 2:45 a.m. on March 7, a student was transported to a local hospital from Pi Beta Phi sorority house following an alcohol overdose.

at 5:16 a.m. on March 7, a wallet was found at 34th Street and Trousdale Parkway and was later turned into the DPS Lost & Found.

at 7:19 a.m. on March 7, a contractor reported a University key missing at Henry Salvatori Computer Science Center.

at 10:17 a.m. on March 7, a student was transported from the Physical Education Building to the Student Health Center for medical treatment after injuring his knee.
