Inevitably, the music we listen to now will be known as classics decades on. Nostalgia is what makes us humans, and music plays an important role whenever we feel like taking a walk down memory lane. As we grow older, music changes as we change. Though we can listen to what’s “in” right now while driving in L.A. traffic or at parties on the Row, there’s just something about old school tunes like “Yeah!” by Usher or Baby Bash’s “Suga Suga” that takes us back to a time of bliss. We often associate that love song with that high school crush, or can’t help dancing to tunes that just make us feel great. On the other hand, whenever the depressing song that we’ve overplayed comes on, we also feel pang of grief. The 2000s gave us millennials a time to feel alive and a way to get groovy with sentimental tunes. Here is a list of the top 20 songs from the year 2000 till 2010.
