In their first episode collaborating with the Daily Trojan, Buck Andrews and Sarah Kassel throw it back to 2013, when Obama was still in office, they were still in high school and Britney Spears released her worst-selling album of all time: Britney Jean. This episode was taped live and not in front of a studio audience. In this episode Buck and Kassel discuss 2 songs off Britney’s most interesting album: “Chillin With You” and “Perfume.” They discover that Britney’s deepest desire is to be cryogenically frozen alongside her iconic sibling Jamie Lynn and that the Disney classic “Frozen” was actually based off this desire. Bear with them.
Episode 1: Cryogenically Frozen™ With You
About the podcast: Buck Andrews and Sarah Kassel were just two friends with an idea for a podcast: translate pop music for the masses. Since then they have become a multi-million dollar media conglomerate known as Pop is So Deep but still manage to find time to attend classes at ‘SC. They are very excited to be collaborating with the Daily Trojan and hope you enjoy their latest episode. Pop So Deep posts new episodes Tuesdays.
