We are the champions


Los Angeles Lakers fans gathered outside of USC’s Galen Center last Wednesday to watch the parade celebrating the team’s first championship since 2002. The parade began at the Staples Center and ended at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where approximately 90,000 fans watched a ceremony honoring the team. The Los Angeles Times reported 150,000 fans watched the parade, which ran along Figueroa Street.

Under construction


An awning stands in front of Bovard Auditorium, where construction workers have spent the past week replacing the tiles on the roof. The roof is also being replaced at the Student Union, and construction on both buildings is expected to last throughout the summer.

Postponed


Travon Reed and Horasio Kimbrough, the two men who allegedly shot USC track star Bryshon Nellum in October, appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court Monday for their preliminary hearing. The trial was postponed to May 29 because of scheduling conflicts.
