USC men’s basketball team receives four letters of intent
Four high school seniors signed letters of intent Wednesday, the first day of the NCAA’s early signing period, to join the USC basketball team next year.
Guards Maurice Jones and Bryce Jones (no relation) and forwards Curtis Washington and Garrett Jackson have all committed to play for the Trojans. Forward Dwayne Polee has verbally committed to USC but is not expected to sign immediately because his father is an employee of the university.
Both Polee and Bryce Jones are ranked in the ESPNU Top 100. The Trojans’ class is ranked No. 13 in the nation by ESPNU and No. 1 among Pac-10 schools.
“This is a great class in terms of what we were looking to sign,” USC men’s basketball coach Kevin O’Neill said in a press release. “All of these guys are good players, good students and good athletes.”
