USG passes wireless Internet resolution
USG passed a resolution Tuesday supporting the installation of wireless Internet in Leavey and Doheny libraries, citing the high volume of people using the facilities and the inadequacy of the current technology.
â[USCâs Committee on Information Services] chooses 8-10 buildings to completely overhaul of stuff,â Residential Senator Juan Orjuela said. âDoheny and Leavey werenât on the list ⊠so this resolution is showing the studentsâ support for them.â
The process of upgrading the librariesâ technology is already underway.
âThe libraries have been very cooperative,â John Baldo, director of University Affairs, said. âThey have gotten a lot of complaints [about wireless]. Itâs a really good partnership.â
