Mel Gibson gets a Hangover

To the dismay — or perhaps just the indifference — of many Hangover fans, it was officially announced that Mel Gibson will make an appearance in the Hangover 2 as a tattoo artist in Bangkok.

The film is scheduled to be released sometime in 2011, and will follow the original gang to Thailand for another round of shenanigans.

There are rumors, however, that Gibson’s arrival has not been well-received by other actors. Some say Zach Galifianakis, who became a hit with his portrayal of eccentric and socially underdeveloped Alan Garner, is protesting Gibson’s involvement with the film.

Because of the casting of Gibson, the film, for better or worse, will conceivably garner more media attention. However, regardless of the controversy, fans of the first Hangover can only hope that the second delivers just as many laughs.
