Yellowcard announces new album

It has been three long years since Yellowcard released any new music, but the band has finally returned.

With the new album, When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes, due to be in stores on March 22, Yellowcard released its first single, “For You, and Your Denial” on iTunes this past Tuesday.

The single reached #1 on iTunes’ Alternative chart in just 24 hours and has continued to climb the charts around the world. It is also being streamed on their AbsolutePunk and Myspace profiles.

After starting off with a beautifully intricate violin solo, “For You” takes off into a song filled with driven guitar rhythms as their infamous violinist, Sean Mackin, continues to float above. During the writing process, the band wanted to make sure they were concentrated on the future. Just one line from “For You,”  If it’s the past you love/then that’s where you can stay, illustrates that goal.

Refreshed from their break, the band is back with new energy. Their classic alternative/pop-punk sound is still present and ready to come back to life.

“We are really excited to finally give you some music and get this whole thing started,” they expressed to their fans on yellowcardrock.com.

Other tracks on their upcoming album include, “The Sound of You and Me,” “Be the Young” and “See Me Smiling.”

Itching to play a high energy show for their loyal fans, Yellowcard will be on All Time Low’s “The Dirty Work Tour,” along with Hey Monday and The Summer Set.

Reminds me of my good old days as a kid, as that was when I first heard Yellowcard. They will always be my favorite band. I’m excited for this album release (and I never get excited about album releases)
