Crimes against a person

At 10:31 P.m., a student reported that a suspect punched him in the face without provocation while he was walking near Jefferson Boulevard and Figueroa Street. DPS officers responded and conducted a search, but  they were unable to locate the suspect. The student was examined by an LAFD RA unit and released at the scene after declining transportation for medical treatment.

Crimes against property

at 8:16 p.m., a student drove her vehicle into a bike rack while parking outside University Gateway apartments, damaging the rack and two bicycles that were secured to it.

at 11:31 a.m., DPS officers responded to a report of a bike theft in progress at Stonier Hall and detained two suspects matching the descriptions given by witnesses. One of the suspects was found in possession of a pair of bolt cutters and a bike that he admitted was stolen, and the second suspect was found in possession of a knife. Both suspects were arrested and transported to 77th station for booking.
