The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident summary between Friday, March 2, and Monday, March 5.

Crimes against a person
At 2:05 A.M. on March 4, DPS officers responded to a security guard who was detaining an intoxicated student who kicked him in the shoulder while attempting to climb the scaffolding on a stage during a party at the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. The student refused to give a statement and was released after the security guard declined criminal prosecution of the matter.
At 12:15 a.m. on March 4, DPS officers responded to a location to question a student and a bouncer who were involved in an altercation. The bouncer said the student was intoxicated and punched him in the face after being denied entry to the club, then he responded by punching the student in the face. Neither the student nor the bouncer desired criminal prosecution of the matter.
Miscellaneous incidents
At 5:43 p.m. on March 4, DPS officers detained a suspect for drinking in public at 32nd and Flower streets. Investigation and a check of his name revealed an outstanding warrant. The suspect was then arrested and transported to Metropolitan Detention Center for booking.
