Crimes against property

At 2:55 p.m., a student in Troy Hall reported that she discovered her USC ID missing and subsequently learned that a suspect had used it to make multiple unauthorized purchases on her discretionary account.

Miscellaneous incidents

at 7:02 p.m., DPS officers contacted a student who was observed driving a vehicle near 29th and Orchard streets that appeared to have been recently damaged, and he informed them that he had just been involved in a traffic collision with a staff member. The student was not injured and he stated that LAPD officers had assisted him and the staff member in exchanging information prior to the DPS officers contacting him.

at 4:43 p.m., a student reported that she mistakenly gave a Soto Street Building access card to an unidentified non-USC female who was not authorized to use it and the subject did not return it after leaving the premises. A staff member subsequently requested that the card be deactivated for security purposes.

At 11:29 a.m., a staff member reported that a large poster and an envelope containing a letter from a student organization had been placed on President C. L. Max Nikias’ vehicle while it was parked in Parking Lot 5.

at 11:29 a.m., DPS officers responded to a report of a suspect loitering outside a classroom at May Ormerod Harris Hall and detained him for investigation. The suspect was arrested for trespassing and, after being transported to SW station, he was found in possession of a phone that he claimed to have purchased out of state. The officers subsequently determined that the phone belonged to a student. When they contacted the student he stated that it was taken from his residence without permission. The suspect was booked for receiving stolen property.
