MusiCares honors Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains
The co-founder of Alice In Chains, Jerry Cantrell, will be honored at the eighth annual MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert on May 31.
The Sony/ATV Music Publishing senior consultant, Neil Lasher, will also be honored when the show takes place at Club Nokia in Downtown Los Angeles .
MusiCares MAP Fund provides financial and supportive assistance for people in the music industry struggling with addiction issues. MusiCares helps people who are seeking and are in need of recovery services.
The Stevie Ray Vaughan award will be given to Cantrell and Lasher will receive the MusiCares’ From the Heart Award.
Each has done a great deal to help addicts and has continued to be committed to helping the MusiCares mission.
Steve-O, from the Jackass TV series, will host the event and the night will be filled with performances by Alice In Chains and other to-be-announced artists. A GRAMMY-nominated musician, Moby, will DJ during the dinner for special ticket holders.
