The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Thursday, Sept. 20, and Friday, Sept. 21. 

miscellaneous incidents

At 11:13 p.m. on Sept. 20, DPS officers responded to a report that an unidentified male grabbed a female student’s hands and began dancing at Birnkrant Residence Hall. The student went along with the gesture and danced with him. When the student got tired of dancing and stopped, the unidentified male grabbed her again to continue. The student pushed him away, and he grabbed her hands and arms to continue. The female pushed him away again and the male left.

At 3:38 a.m. on Sept. 20, DPS officers responded to a report of a student’s boyfriend pounding on her apartment door at Menlo Apartments and repeatedly calling her phone after she refused to allow him entry. The student declined to speak with the officers when they arrived at the scene and the boyfriend left the premises upon being asked to do so.

Crimes against property

At 6:43 P.m. on Sept. 20, DPS officers responded to a report that an unidentified suspect riding a bicycle grabbed a cell phone from a student while the student was talking on the phone at the intersection of Exposition Boulevard and Vermont Avenue.
