The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Wednesday, Sept. 26.

Crimes against a person

at 7:25 a.m., a staff member reported that he was verbally assaulted in a Cardinal Gardens alley by a suspect who became irate about the way he was driving. The suspect drove away when the staff member stated that he was calling the police, and he could not be located during a subsequent search of the area by DPS officers.

Miscellaneous incidents

at 3:07 p.m., a student purchased a bicycle from an unidentified subject in a Downtown parking lot and brought it to the DPS office after observing that it had a registration sticker on it. DPS officers determined that the bike was registered to another student, but they were unable to contact her and there was no record of it being reported lost or stolen. The bike was then impounded until the matter could be resolved.

at 1:47 p.m., a student reported that he and several other students wired money to a travel agency for the purchase of airline tickets, and subsequent information he has received about the agency has caused him to believe it might be a fraud.
