The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Thursday, Oct. 11 and Friday, Oct. 12.

Crimes against property

at 11:04 p.m. on Oct. 11, an unidentified subject drove his vehicle into a university cart that was inside Parking Strucure X then left the scene without stopping to report the incident or leave contact information. DPS officers subsequently used surveillance recordings to identify the vehicle and the information was turned over to the Los Angeles Police Department for a traffic investigation.

Miscellaneous incidents

At 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 11, a student reported she sustained several broken teeth and a scrape to her chin when she fell while riding her skateboard near the intersectin of Jefferson Boulevard and Orchard Street. The student did not report the incident at the time it occurred and sought medical/dental treatment on her own.

At 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 11, DPS officers responded to a staff member who fainted in a restroom at Keck Hospital of USC. A rapid response team was at the scene examining the staff member when the officers arrived, and she was subsequently transported within the facility for medical treatment.

at 12:32 a.m. on Oct. 12, DPS officers responded to an intoxicated non-USC male who was observed lying on the sidewalk near 1484 29th Street. The man was incoherent when contacted by the officers, so an LAFD RA unit was requested.  RA Unit #13 examined the man, but he refused to be transported for medical treatment.  Concerned for his safety, the officers were unwilling to release the male at the scene, so he was arrested and transported to Metropolitan Detention Center for booking.
