Voter registration will close Monday

Monday is the last day for Californians to register to vote by mail and online. Registration forms must be postmarked or electronically signed no later than Monday, according to the California Secretary of State’s website.

California residents can register by filling out an online form or picking up a paper form at a public library, post office or the Department of Motor Vehicles office. Paper forms must be mailed to your county elections official.

To register in California, one must be a United States citizen, a state resident, at least 18 years old on Election Day, not in prison or on parole and not found mentally incompetent by a court.

Additionally, students can register online by visiting http://www.californiastudentvote.org/register-to-vote-ca, a website sponsored by Calpirg and Rock the Vote.
