The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety Daily Incident Log between Monday, June 10, and Tuesday, June 11.

Crimes against a person

At 8:22 p.m. on June 10, DPS officers responded to a report of a non-USC male yelling for help near 2627 Severance Street, and when they contacted him, he said that he was being followed by unknown suspects. Further investigation revealed that the male was a drug user involved in a possible drug deal gone bad and Los Angeles Police Department officers who responded to the scene concluded that he had mental health issues. A Los Angeles Fire Department RA unit then transported the subject to California Hospital for voluntary psychiatric evaluation.

Crimes against property

At 11:13 a.m. on June 10, a suspect entered an unsecured laboratory and removed several unattended dental tools in the Eileen and Kenneth T. Norris Dental Science Center.

at 6:45 p.m. on June 10, DPS officers responded to a report of two suspects carrying two locked bicycles near the George Finley Bovard Administration Building and detained them for investigation. One of the bikes was registered to a student, but the officers were unable to contact her to determine if a crime had occurred. Both bikes were then impounded by the officers and the suspects were released after being advised against trespassing on university property.
