New video shows San Bruno explosion
A video of the gas pipeline explosion that occurred in San Bruno, Calif. on Sept. 9 has been released, according to the Los Angeles Times.
A gas line blast killed seven people and destroyed dozens of houses after the area surrounding the pipeline was engulfed in flames.
The video, taken from a gas station nearby, shows a fireball forming and people running from the scene.
Authorities still aren’t sure what caused the pipeline to burst, though Pacific Gas & Electric Co. has stated that the line was checked regularly.
California Sen. Barbara Boxer has called on the state to provide aid to the victims of the explosion and for a thorough investigation of the incident.
So far, only four of the seven victims have been identified by coroners.
The fourth and latest identified victim was an 81-year-old widow.
Three people are still missing.
