OK Go’s newest furry attempt

With the help of their furry four-legged animals, four pounds of dog treats and multiple cups of coffee, OK Go is at it again in their newest music video “White Knuckles.”

This time, instead of running treadmills, the band goes for performing stunts with show dogs from Talented Animals. If it wasn’t for bass guitarist Tim Nordwind’s trademark hipster glasses and the capital white lettering titling the video “OK GO, WITH FRIENDS,” within the first five seconds, the audience might have believed it was just four guys with too much time on their hands.

Although visually entertaining (I mean, who doesn’t enjoy watching cute animals bobbing their heads to music?), the video doesn’t have the originality of the band’s 2006 hit “Here It Goes Again,” also known as “The Treadmill Video,” or the hilarity of the wallpaper phenomenon “Do What You Want.

But, for a video that debuted Sunday, it’s already garnered 576,000 hits. By the time I finished watching the three-and-a-half minutes of the sure-to-go-viral video, three more comments had been posted, including “So awesome
So awesome So awesome So awesome.”

A portion of the proceeds from the video’s sales will go to a special fund set up in conjunction with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Talk about lucky dogs.
