Pac-10 debates over where to hold its title game

After years of consideration, the Pac-10 is finally on its way to implementing an actual title game. The only question now is where it will be held.

The Pac-10 not only wants a venue that would promote the game, but a place where fans would be able to travel to in order to obtain the maximum attendance possible.

Possible locations include Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Seattle and Glendale, Ariz. Other suggested cities include San Francisco, Oakland or San Diego.

Many of the concerns with holding a title game in these cities, however, have to do with small stadium size (Las Vegas), bad weather (Seattle) and lack of originality (Los Angeles, since Pasadena hosts the Rose Bowl).

In the month of October, San Francisco will play host to the Pac-10 athletic directors, presidents and chancellors, who will discuss this issue as well as others pertinent to the conference, including splitting the conference in divisions.
