Top of mind

Last Friday, thousands of members of the Trojan Family woke up bright and early to celebrate the installation of President C.L. Max Nikias, the 11th president of the University of Southern California.

Throughout the week, campus was abuzz with excitement in anticipation of the historic undertaking, with the rapidly multiplying rows of white chairs helping to illustrate the scope of the event.

Among the notable attendees were Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Former Vice Chancellor of Oxford UniversityJohn Hood and Nikias’ predecessor, President Emeritus Steven B. Sample.

Despite the overcast skies, the inauguration was a lively affair, with those in the crowd treated to a ceremony that featured fireworks, a specially commissioned quartet performance and a powerful speech from the university’s new leader.

All things considered, we want to know:

What was the most memorable part of the Inauguration of President C.L. Max Nikias?
