No. 55 wide receiver recruit visits USC
On Oct. 30, when USC took on the Oregon Ducks, DeAnthony Arnett was there watching in the crowd. He came away impressed by the Trojans and Los Angeles in general. While he did not commit to USC, the football recruit has put the Trojans on a list of 3 schools he is strongly considering attending next year.
At 6’0” and 167 pounds, the talented wide receiver finished his junior season with 41 receptions for 876 yards and 10 touchdowns. While Michigan State was long considered Arnett’s most likely college choice, he is strongly considering the Trojans and the Tennessee Volunteers as well.
The high school senior from Saginaw High School, who is the No. 1 recruit from Michigan according to the ESPNU150 rankings, will announce his decision on Nov 11. He has already removed one school from his list of prospective schools, and will now decide amongst 3 others.
“He has eliminated Cal and is down to USC, Tennessee and Michigan State,” DeAnthony’s brother Ralph Arnett said. “Right now, DeAnthony is pretty confident in his decision but hasn’t told any of us yet and I don’t even know what he’s going to do.”
USC must now wait until Arnett’s decision to see if it is destined to receive one of the nation’s most impressive wide receiver recruits.
