All’ Angelo Pizza and Pasta brings new taste to Koreatown

Although many students typically flock to Koreatown for All You Can Eat Korean Barbecue, there are other Koreatown restaurants that serve food just as delectable and filling. All’ Angolo Pizza and Pasta, which opened Sept. 18, is one such restaurant.

Not to be confused with All’ Angelo on Melrose Avenue that closed down, All’ Angolo Pizza and Pasta adds a new neighborhood flavor to Koreatown. At first it might seem strange that an Italian restaurant is located in Koreatown. But considering most people travel to Koreatown only to eat AYCE and might not even consider trying other Korean foods, an Italian restaurant is an effective reminder of the other dishes and styles of food available there.

All’ Angolo Pizza and Pasta has already four raving reviews and a five star rating on Yelp. It also helps that the owner and chef, Alessandro Polastri, previously opened a popular Italian restaurant on Sunset called Amarone Kitchen + Wine, so the food at All’ Angolo Pizza and Pasta have a high-quality taste while still being affordable.

True to its name, All’ Angolo Pizza and Pasta really does hold many delicious dishes of pasta and different pizza combinations that scream Italian authenticity. The service and atmosphere here is cozy and it feels like a true pizzeria. The dough of the pizza is light and does not make you feel completely bloated afterwards and the sauces of the different pastas are packed with flavor.
