Practice notes: Oct. 26
- Redshirt sophomore cornerback Torin Harris and freshman tailback George Farmer remain sidelined with injuries.
- Sophomore wide receiver Robert Woods (sophomore) returned to practice. Woods, freshman wide receiver Marqise Lee and senior wide receiver Brandon Carswell were all in yellow no-contact jerseys, as was senior tailback Marc Tyler.
- Freshman kicker Andre Heidari resumed kicking in practice in a limited capacity. He sustained an ankle injury during the game at Notre Dame.
- USC coach Lane Kiffin said the key to stopping quarterback Andrew Luck was to shut down the running game. USC has allowed 76 yards rushing combined the last two weeks.
- The first 11-on-11 scrimmage started off rough for the offense, beginning with a high snap over junior quarterback Matt Barkley’s head followed by a stuffed run. Senior linebacker Chris Galippo had the hit of the day, crushing freshman tailback Amir Carlisle on a short run. Junior safety Drew McCallister also intercepted Barkley.
