Local love for UNIQUE LA

In a city known for independent and artsy minds, UNIQUE LA is putting on a “Local Love Show”  with over 325 designers and artists.

Taking place at the California Market Center on February 11 and 12, vendors will set up their shops allowing people to walk around and explore local designers.

The event is a two-day shopping extravaganza aimed to showcase Los Angeles’ local community and to help support its economy.

UNIQUE LA, created by Sonja Rasula, is the destination for all things Made in America, according to its website. UNIQUE also exists in New York City, San Francisco and online.

Each ticket for Local Love is $10 and can be bought at the door. 10 percent of ticket sales will go towards a local non-profit organization called 826LA.

826LA is writing and tutoring center for students ages 6 to 8. It provides after-school tutoring, evening and weekend workshops, in-school tutoring and help for those learning how to speak English.

Admission into Local Love comes with a ton of fun things.

A ticket will give attendees unlimited re-entry for both days, free DIY workshops, free photo booth portraits, a UNIQUE key tag made exclusively for the event and free drinks from IZZE, Honest TEA and a few cocktail places.
