Tickets for the 2012 Vans Warped Tour Kick-Off Party went on sale Saturday.
Vans Warped Tour is a summer music festival that travels around the United States and Canada with over 100 bands in its line-up.
The kick-off party will be at Club Nokia in downtown L.A. on March 29, with performances by Falling in Reverse, Dead Sara, Matt Toka, Forever Came Calling and “two iconic surprise guests,” according to its website.
Before the concert begins, guest will be able to watch a special screening of “No Room for Rockstars,” a documentary film about the Vans Warped Tour and today’s rock n’ roll culture.
The documentary will be available for purchase on iTunes April 2 and physical DVDs will go on sale May 15.
Tickets for the kick-off party are being sold online, but also at ticket outlets in malls, Wal-Mart’s and more.
Every Wednesday on the Warped Tour website, about six or seven bands are announced for this summer’s tour.
64 bands have been announced so far, including You Me At Six, We Are The In Crowd, Title Fight, T. Mills, Bayside, Mayday Parade and Polar Bear Club.
People can begin registering for 2012 Warped Tour presale tickets, which go on sale March 30.
A presale ticket comes with a 3D commemorative ticket, jump the line access and a few other perks.
If unsure about buying a ticket this early, regular tickets will go on sale later this spring or people can take a Warped Tour survey on its website to enter a drawing for VIP passes. 10 people for each tour stop will be chosen at random.
