Trojans remain No.13 in AP poll
The USC Trojans remain at No. 13 in the latest AP poll following a 27-9 home victory over the Cal Golden Bears on Saturday.
Despite the win, the Trojans fell one spot in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll, from No. 12 to No. 13. USC was passed in the poll by Kansas State, Florida and Notre Dame, all four remained undefeated over the weekend. The Wildcats and Fighting Irish picked up wins against ranked opponents.
Oregon is at the No. 2 spot in both polls, an improvement in the rankings following their 49-0 blowout win over previously ranked Arizona coupled with LSU’s close 12-10 contest against the Auburn Tigers.
Despite a bye week, Stanford actually moved up a spot in the AP poll to No. 8, thanks to Oklahoma’s loss to Kansas State. The Cardinal remain at No. 9 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll.
Oregon State’s win over UCLA knocked the Bruins out of the top 25 and catapulted the Beavers into the No. 18 spot in the AP poll and the No. 22 spot in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll. The Beavers have only played two games so far after having their season opener rained out, but beat Wisconsin, No. 23 in USA Today Coaches’ Poll, as well.
UCLA remains among the top vote getters out of the unranked teams in both polls. Arizona, Arizona State and Washington also picked up miscellaneous votes.
