LAPD shuts down street near campus
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department temporarily blocked off Budlong Avenue west of campus around 2:30 a.m. Saturday in pursuit of a robbery suspect.
According to Officer Rivera of the LAPD, the officers responded to a tip that the suspect fled to Budlong after the incident occurred on Normandie Avenue.
The suspect was not apprehended and the block reopened to normal traffic around 3:00 a.m. The LAPD said it will continue its investigation.
