It is not too late to join in on the fun of Pasadena’s Cheeseburger Week. Known for its thriving gastropub scene, Pasadena extends an invitation to each and every person who enjoys a good cheeseburger. Some notable cheeseburgers include the Kings Row Gastropub’s stacked Mars Rover burger and a/k/a Bistro’s grilled certified Angus burger.
Renee Fleming & Susan Graham
Jan. 19: 8 p.m.
Walt Disney Concert Hall
It’s rare enough for soprano singers Renee Fleming or Susan Graham to grace an audience with their presence, but the two stellar sopranos are coming together on one night Downtown to perform. The program includes duets by composers Berlioz, Saint-Saens, Faure and Debussy. For those with a passion for opera, this evening filled with incredible singing will certainly be a night to remember.
Star Party
Jan. 19: 2 – 9:30 p.m.
Griffith Observatory
Los Angeles Astronomical Society and the Los Angeles Sidewalk Astronomers will be holding a public star party to give curious star gazers and families a chance to look at the sun, moon and the visible solar system and try out various telescopes. Amateur astronomers will also be there to talk about the sky and demonstrate how to use the available star gazing equipment.
Giant Robot Biennale 3

Japanese American National Museum
The Japanese American National Museum will be presenting the Giant Robot Biennale 3, its third show with the creative owner of Giant Robot, Eric Nakamura. The show features a gallery of eight artists along with customized vinyl figures. More than 80 artists from seven countries will be featured, bringing their own original style to the table, from wall paints to life-size mazes. This popular and fun exhibit is nearing the end of its time at the museum, so this weekend is the last chance to catch these pop-culture masterpieces.
