Cast off your troubles (or the stress of finals) by participating in a free shore fishing class at Dockweiler Beach. The Department of Beaches & Harbors will provide fishing poles and bait to show you how to catch local open water fish such as surfperch, halibut and leopard shark. Be sure to pre-register early at (310) 726-4128 to reserve your spot before room runs out because, as Trace Adkins would say, this memory could be a big’in, even if you think you’re just fishin’.
