The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Tuesday, Sept. 3, and Wednesday, Sept. 4. 

Crimes against property

at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 3, a staff member outside the USC area reported his USC ID missing.

at 1:20 A.m. on Sept. 4, two men approached a girl at 30th Street and Figueroa Street and demanded her purse. Fearing for her safety, she handed over her phone and money. The two men then fled and disappeared from sight.

at 7:00 A.m. on Sept. 4, a staff member of the Norwood Elementary School lost her cell phone. When she used the built in tracking software to search for it, she discovered that the phone had already been taken out of the area.

at 7:26 p.m. on Sept. 4, DPS arrived at the Grace Salvatori Hall of Letters, Arts and Sciences to unlock an office the request of a professor, so that his TA could  retrieve a folder for him. They left the scene after checking that the folder retrieved belonged to the professor.

Miscellaneous incidents

at 4:40 a.m. on Sept. 4, DPS responded to a report at Adams Boulevard and Portland Street, where a male was sleeping in his car, parked with its engine running.  They marked that the student was intoxicated and that his car had struck a parked vehicle. LAPD was called, and they arrested the student in question.

at 11:40 a.m. on Sept. 3, a female student was reported feeling ill at the Chalres Lee Powel Hall. DPS requested an LAFD RA unit and Unit #15, who reported that she did not need medical treatment. She was conscious and coherent when she was released into the care of her roommate.

at 8:39 p.m. on Sept. 3, LAFD and Unit #10 freed several people stuck in an elevator of the H. Leslie Hoffman Hall of Business. Administration without incident.
