Rebel Bingo

Oct. 19, 8:00 p.m.

333 S. Boylston St. Los Angeles, Calif.

Everyone knows a grandma who could be considered the LeBron James of bingo. This event probably isn’t for her. This weekend, Rebel Bingo comes to 333 Live in Downtown Los Angeles. The party will feature games of bingo with random prizes, disc jockeys, dancing and plenty of loud indie, hip-hop and ’90s music. On second thought, just bring grandma — she’ll probably win. Sign up at RebelBingo.com/US to purchase tickets. 21 and up.

Alton Brown: Edible Inevitable Tour

Oct. 19, 8:00 p.m.

12700 Center Court Drive. Cerritos, Calif.

Food Network’s resident gastronomical genius Alton Brown comes to the Cerritos Center for Performing Arts Saturday as part of his Edible Inevitable tour. According to the event’s website, the show is being billed as “part stand-up comedy, food experimentation, talk show antics, multimedia lecture and … live music.” The only regrettable thing the show might be missing is … good eats. But fans of the quirky Iron Chef: America host are sure to have a good time.
