The dead join the living at the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. This year includes six new mazes and four new scare zones. Take a trek through an infested zombie wilderness of “Terror Tram: Invaded by The Walking Dead” or play hide and seek with Chucky, the toy who carries the soul of The Lakeshore Strangler, Charles Lee Ray, on “The Curse of Chucky.” Whatever rides you choose to go on, just remember to make it out of the park alive at the end of the night.

The Dungeon of Doom

Hollywood loves to get dressed up, so it is no surprise that the Hollywood Museum has gotten into the spirit of the haunting season with its Dungeon of Doom, which shows guests how the first horror films came together. This year, guests can relive Silence of the Lambs by walking in Hannibal Lecter’s original jail cell and explore the new Elvira, Mistress of the Dark exhibit.

Deadmau5, Calvin Harris and Mr. Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites himself Skrillex are set to headline this year’s lineup for the two-day Hard Day of the Dead. Avoid the mess of driving by taking the Metro up to Downtown’s L.A. State Historic Park and take in some of the best house and dubstep from world-class musicians.

 

WeHo Halloween Carnaval

It’s the granddaddy of all Halloween Festivals on Santa Monica Boulevard between Doheny Drive and La Cienega Boulevard. Vaud & the Villains, Lynda Kay and Velvet Martini are all set to perform, and there’s going to be an armada of food trucks for the hungry masses. Five hundred thousand people are expected to show up, so don’t be scared of the crowds — dress in your Halloween finest and strut your stuff.
