The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary of Jan. 22, 2014.
Crimes against property
At 11:53 A.M. on Jan. 21, a report about a student’s missing bicycle near Sierra Apartments was released.
At 2:41 P.M. on Jan. 21, a report was sent out about a staff member’s missing wallet at the Tutor Campus Center.
At 2:56 P.M. on Jan. 21, a student bike went missing from Cromwell Field and was reported to DPS.
at 4:32 p.m. on Jan. 21, a student sent out a report about a student’s missing cell phone at the Watt Way basketball courts.
at 6:39 p.m. on Jan. 21, a non-USC student damaged part of the passenger side and taillight of a parked vehicle while backing up his truck. No persons were injured.
at 9:39 p.m. on Jan. 21, a suspect reportedly removed the handlebars of a bicycle and the front wheel fastened against a bike rack located at Parkside Residential Building.
Miscellaneous incidents
at 9:35 a.m. on Jan. 21, DPS assisted LAPD officers in their investigation of what seemed to be students involved in animal cruelty. No crime officially occurred, according to the detectives.
at 11:40 a.m. on Jan. 21, a staff member fainted in the Ronald Tutor Campus center. DPS officers responded to the incident and called a LADFR RA unit that examined the staff member, who was later taken to Kaiser Hospital to receive medical treatment.
at 8:18 p.m. on Jan. 21, DPS received a report about a student with breathing difficulty and chest pains at ICON plaza. Unit #15 responded to the call and the student was later taken to California Hospital for medical treatment.
