The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Friday, Feb 8., and Tuesday, Feb. 10. 

Crimes against a person

AT 12:28 A.M. on Feb. 8, DPS officers responded to a report of two suspects threatening a staff member and challenging him to a fight on 30th Street and University Avenue.

Crimes against property

AT 1:45 A.M. on Feb. 8, a cell phone was found in the back seat of a Campus Cruiser.

AT 1:46 a.M. on Feb. 8, DPS officers responded to a report of a suspect who had painted a swastika on a wall outside the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

AT 8:22 A.M. on Feb. 8, a Cardinal Gardens staff member reported that a rolling parking gate was damaged by unknown means.

AT 4:47 p.M. on Feb. 8, the front bumper of a student’s parked vehicle was damaged when an unidentified suspect hit it causing minor damage.

AT 9:19 P.M. on Feb. 9, a USC student discovered minor damage to the rear passenger side sliding door of a university vehicle during a routine inspection.

AT 9:00 P.M. on Feb. 9, a USC student reported that a window in the School of Cinematic Arts was shattered after possibly being struck by a bird.

Miscellaneous incidents

AT 12:49 A.M. on Feb. 8, DPS officers responded to an intoxicated unidentified female who fell down a flight of stairs at the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity and injured her nose and mouth.

AT 3:13 p.M. on Feb. 8, DPS officers responded to a child who had cut his forehead in a bounce house. Paramedics treated the child and he was then released to his guardian.

AT 9:16 p.M. on Feb. 8, officers responded to reports of possible hazing at the Gamma Epsilon Omega fraternity. The officers questioned several students, all of whom denied the reports.  There was visible evidence of hazing when officers conducted a walkthrough of the house.

AT 11:17 p.M. on Feb. 8, officers responded to a student outside the Alpha Phi sorority house who was intoxicated. The female was incoherent, and a rescue unit transported her to California Hospital where she received medical attention.

AT 1:17 A.M. on Feb. 9, DPS officers responded to a student who discovered a suspect sleeping in the front passenger seat of her car. Officers woke the suspect and found he was intoxicated. Unable to contact anyone to care for the suspect, the officers arrested the man.

AT 9:26 P.M. on Feb. 9, DPS officers responded to a student with a small bone lodged in her throat. A Los Angeles Fire Department RA unit was requested and Unit #15 responded. The RA Unit was unable to dislodge the bone and offered the student medical treatment, but she declined and sought treatment on her own.
