The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Saturday,   Feb. 22, and Monday, Feb. 24. 

Crimes against a person

at 7:21 P.m. on Feb. 24, a staff member at Norris Dental Science Center reported to DPS that she had received a threatening voicemail message from an unidentified caller.

Crimes against property

at 5:57 p.m. on Feb. 24, a student reported to DPS that he loaned money to a suspect who claimed to be in financial distress. The student reported that he was given a suit and four jackets as collateral.

Miscellaneous incidents

at 11:53 P.m. on Feb. 22, DPS officers responded to a student in Troy Hall who sustained a cut to his lip and knocked out a tooth when he fell down a flight of stars. The student was offered transportation for additional medical treatment but declined.

at 12:29 A.m. on Feb. 24,  DPS officers and Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a fire alarm activation at the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity due to marijuana smoke. A resident reset the alarm prior to the officers’ arrival and LAFD allowed residents to re-enter.

at 9:01 A.m. on Feb. 24,  DPS officers responded to a report of a non-USC female who had fallen and hit her head on the sidewalk near Norris Dental Science Center.

at 12:14 P.m. on Feb. 24,  a faculty member at Seely G. Mudd Hall reported to DPS that a student became irrational and argumentative when discussing exam results.
