The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Thursday, Oct. 16, and Friday, Oct. 17.
Crimes against property
At 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 16, it was reported that a non-USC male at 32nd Street and Royal Street crashed into a student’s car, causing moderate damage to both vehicles.
At 7:07 p.m. on Oct. 16, a staff member at the Henry Salvatori Computer Science Center reported his bicycle missing.
Miscellaneous incidents
At 1:38 p.m. on Oct. 16, a student at Kappa Kappa Gamma complained about a threatening text message from another student.
At 3:04 p.m. on Oct. 16, DPS officers responded to a student who was injured after falling off her skateboard at the Grace Ford Salvatori Hall of Letters and Sciences. An ambulance from the LAFD was treating the student and the officers transported her to the Engemann Student Health Center when they arrived.
At 4:35 p.m. on Oct. 16, DPS officers responded to a suspect driving a vehicle that had been marked as stolen by the license plate recognition system. The officers located the vehicle at the intersection of 30th Street and Figueroa Street and the suspect was detained by LAPD officers who responded to the scene. After being arrested, the suspect was transported to 77th station and booked.
At 7:40 p.m. on Oct. 16, DPS officers arrived at the Lorenzo after a student reported that her foot was run over inside the parking garage. The student was taken to California Hospital for medical treatment. LAPD officers subsequently conducted a traffic investigation.
At 1:43 a.m. on Oct. 17, 22 students were arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department for having fake IDs at the 901 Bar & Grill. The students were cited and then released.
At 1:47 a.m. on Oct. 17, it was reported that a student backed her vehicle into a parked university vehicle at 32nd Street and Shrine Place, causing minor damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.
At 3:26 a.m. on Oct. 17, a staff member at the center of campus reported that a University Twitter account received a suspicious tweet from an unknown person.
At 3:53 a.m. on Oct. 17, it was reported that an intoxicated student was vomiting in her dorm room at New Residential College. DPS officers responded and found the student unresponsive. A LAFD ambulance was requested and transported the student to California Hospital for medical treatment after examining her.
