Daily Trojan wins eight California College Media Association awards

The Daily Trojan took home eight awards at the annual California College Media Association awards ceremony on Saturday, including three first-place wins.

The DT was recognized for Best Newspaper Page/Design Spread, Best Arts and Entertainment Story and Best News Photograph.

The Daily Trojan also won second place in the News Series and Sports Photograph categories and third place in the Breaking News Story, Editorial and Sports Story categories.

The newspaper’s coverage of topics such as the Javier Bolden murder trial and the Ferguson protests were among those honored.
