There were a lot of ways to go with this Harry Potter playlist. While my roommate suggested such classics as “Can’t Touch This” and “Who Let The Dogs Out” to typify Sorcerer’s Stone and Prisoner of Askaban, respectively, there is a certain merit to subtlety — which is why I included Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda.” How better can you represent the basilisk? The songs are arranged by and loosely related to the Harry Potter books.

If you’re hyped for JK Rowling’s newest project, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, get in a magical mood with this playlist.
